Living in the Promise

The Promise Is Still Yes

The Promise Is Still Yes

Some of us walked into this year carrying a word from God that has not yet come to pass. The diagnosis is still there. The door is still closed. The prayer you prayed in January has not been answered in August. And the enemy has been whispering the same question he asked in the garden: did God really say? Today I came to tell you — He said it, and He has not changed His mind. The promise is still yes.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that He should lie

Balaam stood on that mountain hired to curse Israel, and even a prophet for hire could not reverse what God had blessed. Hear me: no witchcraft, no gossip, no layoff, no disappointment can overturn the word of the Lord over your life. Men change their minds. Circumstances change their faces. But God is not a man. His yes does not expire while you are waiting.

The delay is not a denial. God’s calendar is not behind — it is preparing you for what it is preparing for you.

So what do we do while we wait? We keep showing up. We keep serving. We keep confessing the promise over our homes, our children, our health, and this church. Abraham waited twenty-five years for Isaac and staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief. If He said it, He will do it. If He spoke it, He will make it good. Lift your hands and tell somebody: the promise is still yes.
